Alex Mehta

I am an undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying EECS + Business in the MET program. I previously worked in Prof. Vivek Goyal's STIR Group and currently work in Prof. Laura Waller's Computational Imaging Lab.

My research interests lie in computational imaging, specifically focused on improving image reconstruction from noisy measurements without relying on supervised learning. Recently I've been interested in using diffusion models and other generative priors.

Focusing Through Scattering Medium
Recreating Focusing Through Scattering Medium Experiment

For EE 290: Computational Imaging, my project group recreating a classic scattering light experiment (Vellekoop & Mosk 2007). We used a spatial light modulator to focus light through a scattering medium using iterative algorithms that relied on feedback from a CMOS.
